The owner of a pastry kitchen in Delhi allegedly committed suicide amid an ongoing dispute with his wife. Puneet Khurana was found hanging in his house in the Kalyan Vihar range of the show town. His family said that Puneet Khurana was “upset with his wife”. The couple had married in 2016 and co-owned For Gods Cakes Pastry Kitchen as well as another restaurant called Woodbox Cafe, which shut down some time ago. Police said that his wife was the last person Puneet Khurana spoke to and the conversation was about the business of the pastry shop.

His family also claimed that the wife recorded the conversation and sent it to her relatives. Police have seized Puneet Khurana’s phone, they said. Reports claimed that in the voice of the last conversation between the couple, they can be heard arguing about their bakery. “You are calling me at 3 am, can’t you sleep? According to India Today, Puneet Khurana’s wife said on the call, “You insulted me and my family,” to which he replied, “All this has no meaning right now… Tell me what you want now.” According to news agency ANI, the deceased’s sister said, “Manika Pahwa, her sister and guardians harassed and harassed him in an argumentative manner. There is a video recording of about 59 minutes, in which Puneet has specified the minutiae of the molestation he faced. The woman had actually hacked Puneet’s social media account.” The case comes just weeks after the suicide of Bengaluru-based techie Atul Subhash last month. The computer program builder left behind a 24-page suicide note, in which he accused his wife and her relatives of molesting him. Atul Subhash was found hanging in his Bengaluru flat with a note that read “Justice must be served.”
