Environment Minister Gopal Rai on Wednesday said half the staff in Delhi government offices will work from home in view of the worsening pollution situation in the national capital. To curb pollution, the Delhi government has decided to allow work from home in government offices.
“Fifty per cent of the staff in government offices will work from home,” Rai wrote on X. “The implementation of this provision will be reviewed in a meeting with officials later in the day,” he said. Earlier, the Delhi government had announced staggered timings for its offices and the MCD. The timings for Delhi Mahanagar Palika (MCD) offices were fixed from 8.30 am to 5 pm, while the timings for Delhi government offices were from 10 am to 6.30 pm.
