Shocking facts have emerged from the alleged murder of a 35-year-old woman by her husband in Hyderabad, Telangana. Gurumurthy, a retired army force jawan, has claimed that he killed his wife, chopped her body into pieces and boiled the pieces in a cooker and dumped them in a lake. The incident reportedly took place in Venkateshwar Colony under the limits of Meerpet police station in Rangareddy district. The deceased Puttavenkat Madhavi was reported missing on January 18 after her mother Subamma lodged a police complaint. According to news agency ANI, Meerpet inspector Nagaraju said that Madhavi had moved out of her house on January 16 after some dispute with Gurumurthy. While investigating the case, the police detained the suspect, who is currently working as a security guard at Kanchanbagh. He has reportedly confessed to killing his wife. Pieces boiled in cooker, pestle to grind bones
After killing his wife, the suspect tried to erase any evidence. To do so, he allegedly dismembered her body in the toilet, then boiled the pieces in a wet cooker.

He separated the bones from the substance, crushed them with a pestle and boiled them again, the Times of India report quoted police sources as saying.
He allegedly cooked the substance and bones for three days, after which he packed them in a packet and dumped them in an adjacent lake.
As of late Wednesday night, the police had not found the victim’s body in the lake in which Gurumurthy claimed to have kept the body parts. An official said that the clue group and a dog squad were working to conduct a comprehensive investigation, the TOI report mentioned.
Meanwhile, the DCP of LB Nagar said that despite the fact that the wife herself has claimed wrongdoing, they are continuing with the investigation. “We are not finishing the investigation at the moment. We have to find out the truth, the investigation is on,” the senior official was quoted as saying in an ANI report.
Madhavi and Gurumurthy were married thirteen years ago and were living in Venkateshwar Colony with their two children for the past five years.
On the day of the murder, the couple’s children were reportedly visiting the suspect’s sister. A police official said that Gurumurthy had fabricated the entire missing story and had told Madhavi’s parents about it.
Meerpet SHO K Nagaraju, quoted by TOI, also said that the case is being treated as a “missing person case” as no evidence of the suspected murder has been found so far.
