Honda launches CB650R, CBR650R, prices start at Rs 9.20 lakh

Both the cycles are powered by a 649cc, inline-four screamer engine that produces 95hp and 63Nm of torque, the same as the European cycles. Earlier, Honda had reduced the power to 87hp so that the motor could adapt better to Indian fuel. The rest of the mechanicals have also remained unchanged, but Honda has changed the plans for both the cycles for 2025, especially the tail segment has improved. And the cycles that have come to India are not equipped with e-clutch. The main highlight detail is the unused 5-inch TFT display on the Honda 650 that brings Bluetooth network through Honda’s RoadSync app. Two colour options are available on both the CB and CBR – the trademark Honda Rudy and the cool Matte Dark. Priced at Rs 9.20 lakh, the CB650R is ahead of its counterpart Triumph Trident 660 (Rs 8.10 lakh) and very close to the bigger, more capable Kawasaki Z900 (Rs 9.38 lakh). Priced at Rs 9.99 lakh, the CBR650R will take on the Triumph Daytona 660 at Rs 9.72 lakh and the Suzuki GSX-8R at Rs 9.25 lakh. In fact, the CBR is priced Rs 18,000 cheaper than the more capable and feature-rich Triumph Road Triple R. Deliveries of both the Honda 650s will begin in February.

Honda has also announced that customers who have pre-booked the NX500 Enterprise bike will finally get their bikes when deliveries resume this month.
