Allu Arjun live arrest: Actor Allu Arjun will have to stay overnight in jail due to delay in his security records and will be released on Saturday, Srinivas Rao, Additional DCP Assignment Concentrator confirmed to news organization ANI. Fans of the actor have been protesting outside Hyderabad jail demanding his release.
The Telangana High Court on Friday granted interim bail to actor Allu Arjun after he was sent to 14-day custody by a local court in connection with the death of a woman at Sandhya theatre on December 4, ahead of the release of his much-awaited film “Pushpa 2: The Rule”.
The incident at a theatre in Hyderabad led to the death of the 35-year-old woman and her nine-year-old son had to be hospitalised due to suffocation. A team of police officers from the Chikkadpally police station reached Allu Arjun’s house in Celebration Slopes and took him into custody. He was later brought to the police station for questioning after he obeyed the officers.
A 35-year-old woman died and her eight-year-old child was hospitalised after a massive crowd gathered to watch the actor at Sandhya theatre on the night of December 4.
Pushpa 2 sees Allu Arjun return as labourer-turned-sandalwood smuggler Pushpa Raj, alongside Mandana Srivalli and Fahadh Faasil as SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat.
The original film, directed by Sukumar and produced by Mythri Motion Picture Creators, was not only a commercial success, grossing over Rs 300 crore in India, but also garnered a strong fan base beyond the traditional Telugu base.
